Frequently asked questions
The questions property managers ask us most about commercial snow removal in the Fox Valley. If yours is not here, ask us.
What areas does Arctic Fox Snow Services cover?
We are based in Elgin, Illinois and run commercial snow routes across Kane County, western Cook County, and DuPage County. Core towns include Elgin, South Elgin, West Dundee, East Dundee, Carpentersville, Algonquin, St. Charles, Geneva, Batavia, Hoffman Estates, and Schaumburg.
Do you only handle commercial properties?
Commercial properties are our focus: parking lots, sidewalks, and entrances for retail, offices, medical, religious, education, hospitality, industrial, and HOA properties. We continue to serve our existing residential clients.
How do you price a commercial snow removal quote?
Send the property address and we will quote a fixed seasonal contract, usually without needing a site visit. The written quote spells out the covered surfaces, trigger depth, and salting terms.
Do you offer per-push pricing?
No. Arctic Fox sells seasonal contracts only: one fixed monthly amount for the winter, no matter how many storms hit. It keeps your budget predictable, keeps our route capacity committed to contract clients, and removes per-storm billing disputes. If you are comparing a per-push bid against ours, our pricing article explains how the two models differ.
At what snowfall depth do you plow?
Most commercial contracts trigger service at 2 inches of accumulation. Zero-tolerance terms are available for properties that cannot accept any accumulation, such as medical offices. Your contract states your exact trigger depth, so there is no mid-storm ambiguity.
How fast can I get a quote?
Usually within two business days from receiving the property address. Most standard properties do not require an on-site visit before quoting.
Do you salt sidewalks and entrances too?
Yes. Sidewalk clearing and treatment is contracted alongside lot plowing, and entrances and accessible routes get specific attention because entrances and walkways are where slip-and-fall claims happen.
Do you document your service visits?
Yes. Every visit is logged with a timestamp: what was done, when, and in what conditions. If an insurance carrier or attorney ever asks what was done to your property during a specific storm, you have a written answer.
When should I sign a snow contract for the winter?
Late summer through fall. Route capacity is finite and is committed in the order contracts are signed, so the best time to get a quote is before the first flake, not after the first storm.
Who will I be dealing with?
Arctic Fox is a local Elgin company. Quotes, scheduling, and storm-night questions go through us directly, not a national call center. Call or text (847) 238-2867, or email info@arcticfoxsnow.com.
