Commercial parking lot snow plowing

Your lot is plowed to a plan agreed before the first snow, on a route timed to when your business opens, with a timestamped record of every visit.

Planned before the first snow

Most plowing problems are settled in the fall, not at 4 a.m. during a storm. Before the season starts, the plan for your lot is set as part of onboarding:

On storm nights

Service starts when accumulation reaches the trigger depth written in your contract. Properties that cannot accept any accumulation, such as medical offices, can contract zero-tolerance terms instead.

Lots are cleared on a route schedule built around when your business opens. Drive lanes, fire lanes, and dumpster access are kept open, and the snow goes to the pile zones agreed in the fall. Our routes stay close to Elgin on purpose: a short route is what makes an opening-time schedule realistic.

A record of every visit

Every visit is logged with a timestamp: what was done, when, and in what conditions. If an insurance carrier or an attorney ever asks what was done on your lot the night of a storm, the answer is already in writing.

How pricing works

Plowing is sold on a seasonal contract: one fixed monthly amount from roughly November through March, with the covered surfaces spelled out. A heavy winter and a light one cost the same, so the snow line in your budget does not move. We do not bill per push; here is how the two models compare.

Send the address and you will usually have a written quote within two business days. Most lots can be quoted without a site visit; this is how we measure them.

Most lots need more than a plow. Walks and ice are contracted alongside plowing: see sidewalk snow removal and salting and de-icing, or all services.

Parking lot plowing questions

When does plowing start during a storm?

When accumulation reaches the trigger depth written in your contract. Properties that cannot accept any accumulation, such as medical offices, can contract zero-tolerance terms. Routes are scheduled around when your business opens.

Where does the plowed snow go?

To pile zones agreed before the season: downhill of the lot's drainage, away from entrances and sight lines, and never where melt will refreeze across a walkway.

Do you stake curbs and islands?

Yes. Stakes go in before the ground freezes, along curb lines, islands, hydrants, and anything else a plow could clip under fresh snow.

Can you clear the sidewalks too?

Yes. Sidewalk clearing and treatment are contracted alongside lot plowing, and entrances and accessible routes get specific attention. See sidewalk snow removal.
